Appalachia Project Appalachia Service Project
Charles Wesley UMC has joined a life-changing short-term Christian mission trip known as the Appalachia Service Project (ASP). 2011 team members included Dale Thompson, Brenda Miller, Jennifer Baker, and Tylee Smith. Their efforts started the week of July 23rd and were part of four teams going from Arlington Temple UMC in Rosslyn. They went to Logan County W, Va, where Temple Teams have been before. Our Team raised funding (about $2500), the loan of a few carpentry tools, and plenty of prayers. Contact Dale Thompson (dwthmpsn@gmail.com) should you wish more information regarding their success. Our Team provided opportunities to make homes warmer, safer, and drier for families in need located in rural Central Appalachia (West Virginia city of Man, county of Logan).
