The Disciples' Group Sunday School, Young Adults' Bible Study, and One Room Sunday School Class for Children resumes on Sunday, September 11, 2011.
Disciples' Group Sunday Bible Study The Disciples, Charles Wesley's weekly Bible study group, meets every Sunday morning at 9:00am in the Disciples Room. This group offers the opportunity to really get to know your Bible and delve into and discuss scripture. Anyone old enough to read is welcome! For further information, please contact Vicki Herrmann at vrh1623@verizon.net. Remember Charlton Heston in The Ten Commandments? Come study the Book that inspired the movie!
Fall 2011 Would you like to know more about God's Word? Would you like to look at God's message and discuss what it meant when it was written and what it meant when it was written and what it means to us today? Are there Bible passages that trouble you? The Young Adults' Bible Study is now meeting on Sundays at 9am at Charles Wesley UMC, led by Tylee Smith. Those in their 20s, 30s or 40s are invited. Anytime is a good time to join us, and materials can be provided if you need a Bible or study guide materials. Bring your questions - we all have them. Bring a friend.
One Room Sunday School Class for Children (NEW) Fall 2011 Children's Sunday School Class is back. This class is for those between the ages of 3 and 12 years old, led by Elaine Schneider. The little ones should join the class on Sunday's starting at 9:00am in the Sunday School Room downstairs.
Fall 2011 Led by Pastor Candee, this group is for women who are seeking spiritual growth and friendship. Each gathering of Heart to Heart provides an opportunity for women to nurture their souls and laugh and learn together. Please contact the Church Office at 703-356-6336 for further information and be sure to check the calendar for upcoming Heart to Heart gatherings. We will commence a new study using the book "The Cup of Our Life" by Joyce Rupp.
Fall 2011 This group is a place where seniors can be themselves, share and receive support, grow in their faith, and exercise their gifts and talents through engagement in a variety of projects, including those that meet needs at Charles Wesley, the community, and in the world. Please note the term 'senior' is not tied to a specific age. If you are feeling young at heart (again or for the first time) or if you would like the support of others in your quest to feel young at heart, YAH is for you! Men and women, singles and couples are welcome to participate. For further information, contact the Church Office at 703-356-6336 and be sure to check the calendar for upcoming YAH gatherings.
